The book has suspense, drama, and the mind-bending twists and turns that make up a great thriller. In 2011, he released the short story trilogy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B004XD66VW\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B004XD66VW&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=amunow-20\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Unsavory Delicacies<\/em><\/a> and the novel<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0986751340\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0986751340&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=amunow-20\" target=\"_blank\"><em> Chill Run<\/em><\/a>. He is now working on his fourth novel, the sequel to <em>Pandora\u2019s Succession<\/em>: <em>The Demeter Code<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Russell has a lot of tremendous advice for new writers, and he\u2019s a great source of information on the thriller genre. When he wrote <em>Pandora\u2019s Succession,<\/em> he did a lot of research, because he was writing outside his area of expertise. Research, he says, is crucial for any writer. He instructs anyone writing in a genre outside of their daily sphere to research, research, research!<\/p>\n<p>When I asked Russell the number one thing he\u2019d recommend to new writers embarking on their first book, he stated with a smile: \u201cWrite about something that you love!\u201d \u00a0Write about something that you can relate to.<\/p>\n<p>Russell\u2019s advises new authors not get your expectations too high on your first novel. He supplements his book income by managing a thriving insurance business.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also recommends:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\">Fact-checking.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Hire a content editor.<\/li>\n<li>Hire a copy editor for professional proofreading.<\/li>\n<li>Enlist a professional book jacket designer, so your book is not discernible as a self-published book from a book published by a major publishing house.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Keep on writing and write a bang up story! This is the best advice I&#8217;ve heard.
