JproD<\/p><\/div>\n

Just a 21-year-old. I do what I want. My dreams control my actions. Just a crazy, completely misunderstood, self-contained kid born in New Bedford, MA and raised in Bristol, CT. I guess I am a representative of the New England music scene. Maybe. Just based on location and not so much lifestyle.<\/p>\n

I have been writing music pretty much my whole life. When I was younger, I would have the Walkman and an LL Cool J cassette, writing my own lyrics to Mama Said Knock You Out<\/em><\/a>. Real story. Whether it was poems, random rhyming stories or love songs, I was definitely writing at a young age. I didn’t record my first song until my senior year in high school (2009). Everyone made the decision to go to college and I made the decision to make a dream come true.<\/p>\n

I always had a deep passion for music, but more from a fan\/listeners standpoint. I always knew I had the ability to write; I just finally decided to put it into action. Making music is definitely therapy for me. It is a way to brag without sounding cocky. It is a way to cry without shedding tears. It is a way to tell someone you love them without having to be near them. Music saved my life. So, I guess I started making music to find myself.<\/p>\n

The tone of my music is really relaxed in most cases. You can completely vibe and get high or vibe and reminisce. Some trill sh*t, in the most general sense of the word. Everything I say is 100 percent real in my everyday life. I make thought provoking music. Even in more up-tempo “club” joints, I try to convey a certain message or vibe. I don’t just say things because they rhyme or because people will think I’m cool.<\/p>\n

\"JproDGetting my music to the masses is my main concern. I try to base my music off my lifestyle, feelings and experiences, with the hope that someone out there can relate. I pride myself on keeping it real. I get inspiration from all different genres, all different cultures, all different feelings. You get a sense of that less than halfway through my songs. It’s 2013, it’s time to keep it trill, time to be yourself, time to get amped. I’m kited. Hold the Throne. It’s that #TrifeLife.<\/p>\n

Being an artist in 2013 just makes you 1 of 75 trillion. My best advice to any upcoming artist would be to try to create a new sound. Don’t just try to fit into the mold. Completely try to create something never seen before. That way, people can’t compare it to anything.<\/p>\n

You will find that there are people out there who feel the same way as you. Become a leader. The world could use more of those. Just do everything you have to; avoid having to compromise your art. Also, reach out to all types of music platforms. Even if it is not necessarily your genre. Real music lovers can appreciate all types of music. Trust.<\/p>\n
